Hollywood, CA

DAY 1
We got to California at 5:00AM Wed morning. The flight was horrible and we didn't end up getting to the hotel until 7:00am. When we got to the hotel I went straight to bed and didn't wake until 12:45pm. We spent the rest of the day on Hollywood Blvd. We checked out the Walk of Fame, Graumans Chinese theatre and we to the Hollyw0od wax museum.

DAY 2
Thursday we went on a tour around LA and checked out the stars homes. I saw Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes house, there was lots of paparazzi hanging around their house. We also saw The Osbourne's house, Sylvester Stalone's house and many more!!! After that we went on a tour at the Warner Bros Studio. I went on the set of Friends, Two and a Half Men and saw house froms Gilmore Girls and ER. We went to the prop department and saw lots of props that were used in different movies. 1 of the props isn't used anymore because its too valuble, its a standing crystal chandalier there are only 3 in the world and Warner Bros has 2. I also saw Matthew Perry!!!

DAY 3
Friday we went to Universal Studios. The best rides we went on where Jarrasic Park ride and the Mummy ride!! We saw a terminator show which was really cool, they had fog coming out everywhere and water got sprayed at us. It was kinda like the Shrek show we also saw there!! At the end of the day we went on a studio tour around Universal Studios. They were filming CSI and Desperate Housewives, I was lucky to see Wisteria Lane!! We went through the towns were they filmed the Grinch, Jaws, The Mummy and The Fast and the Furious. That night we went Graumans Chinese Theatre and watched The Departed. Great Movie!!!

DAY 4
Saturday we went on a tour to Orange County.We saw some of the places that where filmed in The OC, went for a cruise along the Newport harbour. All along the harbour where holiday homes and the cheapest one was 5 million dollars!!! We also checked out the Fashion Island mall.

DAY 5

Today we went to the Kodak theatre(thats where the oscars are held), we went on a tour and that place is huge!!! After that we went for a drive along Santa Monica Blvd, along the way we stopped in West Hollywood and checked out The Ivy, the shops and we drove through Rodeo Dr. After lunch we went to Venice Beach, which was lots of fun. We watched the street entertainers and checked out the stalls. We also watched basketball and the body builders. On our way back to Hollywood we stopped at Santa Monica and looked around.

The BIG Island

Volcanoes, Volcanoes, Volcanoes!! Thats what we saw on The Big Island, otherwise known as Hawaii. Dad and I went to the Volcano National Park. We went in a lava tube, which is a tunnel in the ground that lava once flowed through. We saw steam vents, which are cracks in the ground when ground water is heated up by the hot rocks and comes out as steam. On our first night we hiked for 4 miles over lava rocks to see lava pour into the ocean, it was a bit dissapointing because we were too far away, especially after the hike which was really hard. Then we had to hike another 4 miles back to the car.
The next day we went for a drive along the coast and saw a black sand beach and went for a swim in a hot spring.
Then on our last day we went to Akaka Falls, which is a 400ft waterfall. We looked around Hilo, checked out the shops and even went inside a Wal*Mart.
Next stop LA!!

Oahu update

I'm totally enjoying myself, I luv Hawaii, I don't wanna leave. Friday the 20th Dad hired a jeep and we went to the North Shore that's were some of the biggest waves are, we stopped at Pipeline and watched the surfers. I couldn't go in the water though because it was way to dangerous!! We drove around the whole island which took the whole day. We stopped along the way at a shrimp shack to have lunch. It was fun, and the scenery was nice. On the way back we checked out the Polynesian Cultural Centre, they had displays and activities from the different Polynesian cultures in the pacific, for eg. Fiji, Tonga, Hawaii, Samoa etc.




On the 21st I went to the beach all day and surfed, it was my first time and I wasn't to bad at it. I caught a few waves, but got badly sun burnt.!! The sunburn hurts heaps.

I also went shopping and got some new bathers and souvenirs!

We left New Zealand on Thursday 11:30am and got into Hawaii Wednesday 9:00pm, we arrived before we left, weird!!! Hawaii is sooo hot and sticky, but I love it!! I've seen so many different cars, they definetly love there chevy's!! Dad and I have just been hangin out by the beach and checking out the shops!! We also saw a hula dancing show! We've just been chillin' so far!

New Zealand

My holiday has started!! Off to New Zealand! The plane flight to New Zealand felt soooo long, 4 hrs. New Zealand is so green and there are so many shops. WOW! I went to the sky tower, the tallest building in the southern hemisphere. It was sooo high and the lift doors were made of glass, so i could see the outside as i was going up. That was freaky. I also went to an aquarium which was fun! There were even penguins there. They were adorable! New Zealand is great, im off to Hawaii next. I still can't believe I'm going to lots of different countries!!
